ABOUT US

Starfish Hospital is a parapsychiatric research institution founded in 1671 as the St. Jorge School of Alternative Medicine by Dr. Johnward P. Starfish (1634-1709), following a nocturnal visitation from an entity that introduced itself as Saint Jorge. Operating for over three centuries as a boutique but stable institution, the school dedicated itself to a single mission: the documentation of psychic fauna recurring across the dreams of human patients. Dr. Starfish had observed early in his practice that certain creatures appeared independently across the dream reports of patients who had never met, separated by geography, age, and circumstance, yet describing the same animals in identical detail. These findings confirmed Starfish's hypothesis that the recurrence of these creatures was not merely coincidental; rather, the creatures themselves were somehow trespassing into the dreams of his patients from a reality on the edge of our own.

The school expanded into a dedicated clinical facility in 1913. The two institutions worked in parallel until their joint acquisition by the private equity firm Columbia/HCA, who subsequently dissolved The St. Jorge School of Alternative Medicine. Starfish Hospital retained its name, its archive, and the school's admissions criteria.

In 2022, the hospital's board of directors voted unanimously to launch a licensed apparel division as a means of sustaining operational costs. Each garment corresponds to a documented specimen from the institute's archive. The creatures are real. The dreams are yours. We just work here.
